How materials work shows up in our business
PlastScience grew from work in plant-based and biodegradable polymers. That history informs how we run extrusion, qualify suppliers, and compare PLA, PHA, and conventional polymers for straw applications.
PureStalk straws use plant-based PLA and PHA materials suited to their intended use and disposal pathways described on PureStalk product materials. A future PP line will rely on different chemistry and branding. We do not treat all materials as interchangeable from an environmental or performance standpoint.
What we do not claim here
- We are not offering generic biopolymer resin for sale through this website.
- We do not state fixed biodegradation timelines for all products across all environments.
- Certifications, capacity figures, and facility details are shared with customers when relevant to a specific program, not as marketing boilerplate.
